Today saw 33 kayak anglers compete in the first ever Filey Brigg Kayak Fishing Match. There were 3 double figure cod brought to the scales with the heviest being a fantastic specimen of 13 pounds exactly caught by Whitby’s Ben Quinn. The match which was organised by Filey Brigg Angling Society was a massive success. All entrants enjoyed the fishing and the after match hospitality (Barbecue and drinks) provided by the lads from the Filey Fishing Club.
I would like to thank all the lads from Filey club for making us feel welcome on thier patch. Also a big thanks to match organiser Iain Sellors.

Sitting here on the Northern California coast with my kayak fishing buddy Nick from Malton. Love the site and would like to link it to mine. Nice fat cod for the big event, we’re drooling.
Let’s fish!
